About Us
Welcome to Lightning Round Aussies! We are located in Northwest Arkansas and we raise, train, compete with and breed Australian Shepherds. Our Australian Shepherds are integral members of our family and they each bring their own personality and piece to our family to make it whole. They are the "do everything" dogs; if we want to train for something, they are in. If we want to cuddle on the couch and watch TV, they are in. If we want to go for a weekend-long hike, they are in. If we want to go toss a frisbee out back, they are double in! Anyone that meets one of our dogs can't help but fall in love with them. They have brains, personality, lovability, and stunning good looks! They really are the whole package.

Currently, we have 4 Australian Shepherds; not all are available for breeding and some are wonderful members of our household and family, along with competition buddies. Even though we have some dogs not producing litters, they are still listed on our website because we do various things with them and some of them are also family members to our producing dogs.
About Our Dogs
Our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the United Kennel Club (UKC). Before any breeding takes place, they are genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics and we have their results listed under their profiles, but you can also look up their results at www.pawprintgenetics.com as well. We also get them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA) after they have turned two years old to have their hips and elbows checked as well as their eye certifications (CAER). In order to be used for breeding, we require their hip rating through OFA to come back as "good" or "excellent" and we expect that from the sire as well. For elbow rating through OFA, we expect that to come back as "normal" in order to be bred and we expect the same from the sire as well. We list their OFA results under their profiles when they come in and when they are old enough to have them done.

We think it is important to keep our dogs engaged and active. We also love finding new things to learn with them. We actively compete in rally in AKC & UKC, Scent Work in AKC & UKC, Obedience in AKC & UKC, conformation in AKC & UKC, dock diving, coursing, parkour, Fenzi TEAM titles, and we also earn AKC Canine Good Citizen titles and trick dog titles. We are also getting started in agility and disc.
